LEBANON, Ill. –
Brooke Dzwik and
Rachel Zurek from the Michigan Tech volleyball team were named to the McKendree Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Brooke Dzwik led the Huskeis with 32 kills in the three sets, averaging 3.2 per set. Also led the Black and Gold with seven aces, and 54 receptions while ranking second with 28 digs, averaging 2.8 per set. Dzwik was one of only five Huskies to play all 10 sets on the weekend where the Huskies went 2-1. She tallied a career-high 16 kills in a 3-1 victory over Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Rachel Zurek led the Huskies with 11 blocks on the weekend and put down 27 kills, averaging 3 per set. She had over eight kills in all three matches and tallied 10 kills and five blocks against SWOSU.
Tech heads to Minnesota for four matches in the Up North Tournament. The Huskies play at Minnesota Duluth on Thursday, against No. 20 Barry and No. 3 St. Cloud State on Friday in St. Cloud, and then back up to Duluth to matchup against Adelphi on Saturday.
