HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech Athletics will host the inaugural McCarthy "Meet The Hockey Huskies" Community Mixer on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The event—named in honor of legendary Huskies Hockey player, George McCarthy, and his family—is free and open to the public.
The "Mixer" will include a Huskies intrasquad scrimmage (10 a.m.) sponsored by
Aspirus Health, free concessions food including popcorn, soda and
Vollwerth's hot dogs, Zamboni rides, Skate with the Huskies and locker room tours. Families can also enjoy inflatable bounce house games and special stations around the arena like a photo booth with a green screen. Plus, kids will have the opportunity to put the radio headsets on and call the play-by-play from the press box during the' scrimmage from 10-11 a.m.!

Bill Muckalt, the Huskies Pep Band and Mitch's Misfits will all be part of the fun as well!
Don't forget to bring your skates and helmet. The skate rental center at the Mac will be open during the event.
