HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team wrapped up the home portion of its schedule with a pair of 6-1 losses over the weekend at Gates Tennis Center. The Huskies fell to Ferris State on Friday and Wayne State on Senior Day Saturday.
Against the Bulldogs on Saturday,
Landon Coates took his No. 5 singles match 6-3, 7-5.
Leon Sell earned a second set win in No. 3 singles, and
Laurent Teysseire opened his No. 4 singles match with a 6-2 win in the first set.
In Saturday's match against the Warriors,
Laurent Teysseire earned the lone Tech point with a 6-2, 7-5 win in No. 5 singles.
Landon Coates went three sets in his No. 4 singles match after he took the opening frame 6-4.
Vitor Jordao,
Adam Fenjiro, and
Leon Sell were honored on Senior Day.
Tech is 3-7 overall and 1-3 in the GLIAC and heads to Davenport and Grand Valley State this weekend.
