HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track & field teams are prepared to travel downstate to Allendale, Michigan, for the 2025 GLIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Grand Valley State on Thursday and Friday.

The Huskies will have 16 men and 11 women competing across seven events at the conference meet, with five student-athletes collecting performances that would score at the championships during the regular season.Â
John Paul Norland, the men's 800m runner-up from a season ago, ranks sixth in the event with his season-opening time of 1:50.87. First-year 800m specialist Grace Folkema resides eighth in the conference with her 2:13.93 effort.
Tucker Ringhand, the school record holder over 5,000m (14:23.21), sits in the seventh spot in the results during the regular season and claimed runner-up honors at the GLIAC Championships two seasons ago. Sophomore standout Sophia Rhein sits seventh in the women's 5,000m with her 17:12.26 performance at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
Veteran Cedar Gordon has the eighth-fastest time in the 10,000m with her season-debuting time of 37:06.07.
Callen Carrier, who placed seventh in the men's 3,000m steeplechase a year ago, has the fifth-best time in the event within the league, clocking a 9:23.59 the last time out while Zeb Swager has the eighth-best time in the GLIAC with his 9:43.73 effort at the Chippewa Challenge.
Women's steeplechaser Claire Endres makes her return to the championship meet following a redshirt spring a season ago, sitting at ninth in the event with her time of 11:21.02 set at the Chippewa Challenge.
