GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women's tennis team fell 5-2 at Davenport on Friday and 7-0 at No. 28 Grand Valley State on Saturday downstate.
The Huskies earned their two points against the Panthers on Friday in singles play.
Alexandra Nikonenko won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot.
Chiara Heinz won her seventh straight singles match in the No. 5 spot, 6-1, 6-4.
Anamarija Ukic (No. 3),
Emily Rose (No. 4), and
Efthymia Vasiliki Konstantatou (No. 6) all pushed their opponents to three sets in singles.
Tech is 4-8 overall and 2-5 in the GLIAC and wraps up the regular season at Lake Superior State on Friday.
