HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams began their season on Saturday with the UP Opener at the Forestville Trailhead in Marquette.
 
The event will be a 10K skate individual start with the men's race beginning at noon followed by the women's competition at 1:15 p.m. Each skier will go out in 30-second intervals.
 
The Huskies have eight newcomers for the 2025-26 season and return leaders Bridget Burns, Wes Campbell, and Greta Hansen who were All-CCSA skiers last season and traveled for the NCAA Championship.
