Owen Bartoszkiewicz has been named CCHA Goaltender of the Week the conference announced on Monday. It's the third time this season he has earned the honor.
Owen Bartoszkiewicz stopped 48-of-52 shots in a CCHA series sweep at Ferris State. The junior made 22 saves on Friday in a 3-2 win and 26 saves on Saturday in a 5-2 victory. The Huskies went 4-for-4 on the penalty kill in the series. For the season, Bartoszkiewicz is 10-5-2 with a 2.23 goals-against average and .920 save percentage. He ranks fourth in the CCHA in goals-against average and fifth in save percentage. Bartoszkiewicz is fifth nationally with 10 wins and eighth in minutes played.
Tech is 10-6-2 overall and 7-3-2 in the CCHA returns to action at the 59th annual Great Lakes Invitational in Grand Rapids. Tech plays in the first semifinal against Miami on Dec. 28. Michigan State and Ferris State meet in the late semifinal.
