HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women's basketball team completes its non-conference schedule this weekend, welcoming NSIC foe's Concordia St. Paul Saturday and Winona State on Sunday. Both games are slated for a 2 p.m. tipoff.Â

Concordia-St. Paul enters the weekend ranked No. 21 nationally with a 6-0 record garnering four wins at home, outscoring their last two opponents by an average of 23.5 points against Missouri Western (77-60) and Winona State (78-48).
The Golden Bears are lethal on defense with 6.2 blocks and 32.8 defensive rebounds per game—both rank top-five in the country. Senior center Lindsey Becher has amassed 15 blocks this season (2.5 per game) and is joined by junior guard Lydia Haack with 4.8 defensive rebounds per game.
Megan Gamble leads CSP with 9.7 rebounds per outing, including 4.5 on the offensive end, which ranks 15th in the country.Â
Haack scores a team-high 17.2 points per outing, with Becher (12.8) and Leah Dengerud (10.5) joining in double-figure scoring. Haack has accounted for three double-doubles this season while averaging 5.5 rebounds and a team-leading 5.3 assists.Â
Amanda Johnson is in her 10th season at the helm of the Golden Bears, who were predicted to finish third in the stout Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.Â
About the Warriors
Winona State travels to Houghton with an overall record of 4-2, most recently seeing a four-game win streak snapped by Concordia-St. Paul on Tuesday (78-48).
Winona State averages 64.8 points per outing while taking over 26 shots from 3-point land, making 8.8 triples per game.
Senior guard Olivia Gamoke has the green light for the Warriors, with a team-leading three 3-pointers per game shooting 38.3 percent from long range. She leads three Warriors averaging double-figure scoring with 16.2 points with Hailey Markworth (13.2) and Mattie Schimenz (10.5).
Vivica Bretton controls the glass for Winona State with 5.8 rebounds and 5.5 points, while the team records 36.5 total rebounds.Â
Ana Wurtz is in her second season guiding the Warriors, who were tabbed to finish 10th in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Michigan Tech returns to the SDC Gymnasium following a winless weekend in Minnesota, falling to St. Cloud State (72-61) on Saturday before a narrow loss to Minnesota Duluth (71-67) Sunday, for an overall record of 2-4.
The Huskies produce 68.5 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field. As a team, the Black & Gold shoot 36 percent from 3-point land while connecting on 8.2 triples per outing.Â
Senior guard Isabella Lenz, the newest 1,000-point scorer in program history, paces the team with 15.5 points per game. First-year guard Kendall Standfest (14.2 points) and sophomore guard Alyssa Wypych (11.0) also reach double-digit scoring per outing.
Lenz has added to her game defensively this season with a team-high seven blocks, averaging 1.1 per game paired with three rebounds and two assists on average.Â
Standfest has accrued two double-doubles this season while leading the Huskies with 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals.Â
Sophomore guard Dani Nuest has stepped into the floor general role in her second season for Michigan Tech, dishing out 20 assists while only accounting for nine turnovers in a team-leading 33.7 minutes per game.
Graduate transfer Janie Tormanen has been vital for the Huskies, scoring 24 points to go with 10 rebounds over the weekend against St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth.
