HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women's basketball team takes to the road for the final non-conference weekend away from the SDC Gymnasium, traveling to St. Cloud State Saturday (noon) and Minnesota Duluth on Sunday (1 p.m.).

About St. Cloud State
St. Cloud State is 2-0 to start the season, beating MIAA affiliates Central Oklahoma (68-63) Friday and Washburn (63-51) on Saturday at Halenbeck Hall.
Junior guard Jada Eggebrecht paces the Huskies' offense with a team-leading 14.5 points per game. Junior forward Ashley Sawicki nears a double-double, averaging nine points and a team-high 11.5 rebounds coupled with four steals and two blocks.
Sawicki earned NSIC Shining Five accolades for her opening weekend performance.
SCSU shares the ball well, amassing 18 assists per game, which paces the NSIC and ranks 14th in the country. Eggebrecht, Alyssa Stamer and Rachel Kottke lead the way with 3.5 assists per outing through two games.
The Huskies are led by longtime head coach Lori Fish in her 21st season. SCSU was tabbed to finish fifth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Minnesota Duluth holds a 1-2 record overall, earning their win over Northwestern Oklahoma State (84-78) to conclude the GAC - NSIC Conference Challenge on Nov. 9. The Bulldogs have losses to Southeastern Oklahoma State (87-85) in the season opener and most recently dropped a contest to Parkside, 79-69 in their home-opener on Monday.
Four Bulldogs are averaging double-figure scoring, led by junior guard Mya Moorjani at 20 points per game, with her season-high 29-point outburst coming in the first win of the season. First-year guard Claire Bjorge (16.3), junior forward Lexi Karge (11.3) and sophomore forward Lexi Karlen (10.3) round out the double-figure scorers.
As a team, Minnesota Duluth averages 8.3 3-pointers a game, led by Bjorge, who ranks 11th in the country, connecting on 3.67 triples per outing.
Karge and Johanna Miller are the team's top rebounders, averaging 5.7 boards.
Mandy Pearson is in her 10th season at the helm of the Bulldogs, who were predicted to finish eighth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Michigan Tech is 2-2 on the season following a weekend split in its home-opening weekend, defeating Bemidji State (85-57) on Friday before dropping to Minnesota Crookston (90-68) on Saturday.
Sophomore guard Alyssa Wypych led the Huskies in scoring on Friday with 16 points (7-for-11), while first-year Kendall Standfest collected her second double-double following a 15-point and 10 rebound performance. She scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Huskies in Saturday's loss.
Veteran guard Isabella Lenz reached her 54th career game scoring in double-figures, with 14 points on Friday and 10 on Saturday to put her on 1,000-point watch, needing 19 points to hit the milestone.
Graduate transfer forward Janie Tormanen made her season debut for the Huskies over the weekend, earning starts in both games, scoring 12 points on Friday while recording 10 rebounds on Saturday.
The Black & Gold are shooting 45.1 percent from the field, which ranks first in the GLIAC and 43rd in the country. Lenz (16.0), Standfest (14.0) and Wypych (13.5) are averaging double figure-scoring. Sophomore guard Dani Nuest adds 9.8 points and a team-leading 3.8 assists into the mix while playing a team-high 34.8 minutes per game.
The sophomore duo of Wypych and Nuest have combined for 16 total 3-pointers, helping the team's average go to 39.5 from long range as the team knocks down 8.5 triples an outing.
