Box Score HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech hockey program and U.P. Kids Big Brothers Big Sisters have partnered to begin the Pearson's Pals initiative, which will provide one family in the Copper Country the opportunity to attend Huskies hockey games throughout the season.
At each home game this winter, one family will receive six reserved tickets, one parking pass for use in Lot 24 at the Student Development Complex and food vouchers for concession stands in the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. The family will also get the chance to meet head coach Mel Pearson and members of the Michigan Tech hockey team after the game for autographs and pictures.
"Pearson's Pals offers a fun and exciting opportunity for families to spend time together enjoying an action-packed evening of Huskies hockey," said Maggie Munch, program director of U.P. Kids Big Brothers Big Sisters. "A program that offers opportunities for quality family time is a wise investment contributing to strengthening families."
"Susie and I are delighted to be partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters as we launch Pearson's Pals," said Head Coach Mel Pearson. "Our goal in starting Pearson's Pals is to give back to this great community by providing a fun night out for a family. We are thankful of Big Brothers Big Sisters for partnering with us and couldn't be more excited to meet each of these families."
