The Huskies had several grade A chances to extend their lead including a shot by Haley Crites in the 61st minute that was saved by a NU defender at the goal line.
Kirsen Hudak made three saves and earned the win in net for Tech.
"It's nice to be back home," said Tech coach Michelle Jacob. "We did a great job getting two goals in the first half, but I thought the key to our winning was keeping our composure and possessing the ball in the second half."
