Box Score MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Michigan Tech volleyball team began its five-match road trip on Tuesday (Nov. 5) with a 3-0 loss at Northern Michigan. The Wildcats won 25-15, 25-17 and 25-14 from Vandament Arena. The Huskies fall to 9-17 overall and 5-9 in the GLIAC.
Shelby Jones led a balanced Huskies attack with four kills. Madeline Haben, Kienna Sharp and Andria Nyenhuis chipped in with three kills each while Haben added 12 assists and eight digs. Jacqueline Aird led the defense with 11 digs.
"Andria played well today," Tech volleyball coach Matt Jennings said. "She capitalized on her sets and was a bright spot for us."
Kalli Herron led the Wildcats with a match-high 10 kills. Kellisha Harley set up the NMU attack with 29 assists and Alex Berger had 14 digs.
Tech travels downstate to Northwood on Friday and Hillsdale on Sunday then wraps up the regular season the following weekend (Nov. 15-16) at Lake Superior State and Saginaw Valley State.
