HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Michigan Tech men's and women's basketball
teams raised over $1,200 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure
foundation during its games against Findlay (Feb. 2) and Wayne
State (Feb. 4). The Huskies had over 1,600 fans in attendance for
the four games.
Both teams wore pink warm-up shirts during warm-ups that were
auctioned off during the game. Fans could purchase other items such
as bracelets and megaphones.
This was the fifth year that Michigan Tech has participated in the
Pink Wave. More than $7,000 has been raised and donated in the
fight against breast cancer.
