Box Score HOUGHTON, Mich. - Kalli Herron finished with 13 kills and Lisa Studnicka added 11 kills to lead Northern Michigan to a 3-0 win over the Michigan Tech volleyball team Tuesday (Oct. 30) at the SDC Gymnasium.
Sylvie Rokosh led the Huskies with nine kills.
The Huskies jumped out to a 5-1 lead and led for most of the first set. The Wildcats would tie the set at 17 before winning the set by two points, 25-23.
NMU took control of the second set with a 13-1 run midway through. The Wildcats would hit .364 to win the second 25-13.
Tech hit a team-high .357 in the third set (12 kills, 2 errors, 28 attempts), but Northern hit .424 (17 kills, 3 errors, 33 attempts). The Wildcats served three of their four aces in the final set which they won 25-21.
Madeline Haben put together a strong match with 23 assists, eight digs and a .429 attack percentage which included three kills and zero errors.
Tech will host Northwood Friday (Nov. 2).
