REETZ BURIES BIGGEST SHOT OF SEASON
Freshman Jordan Reetz swished a 3-pointer as time expired to send last Saturday's (Jan. 29) Michigan Tech-Hillsdale men's basketball game to overtime. The Huskies went on to defeat the No. 17-ranked Chargers 93-82 in overtime and snap a five-game losing streak. Reetz scored a career-high 21 points in the contest-more than four times his previous season average of 4.9.

FREE THROW SUCCESS
Michigan Tech made 35-of-39 free throws last Saturday (Jan. 29) vs. Hillsdale, coming within one of the single-game school record of foul shots made of 36 set in 1971. Freshman Austin Armga went 8-of-8 at the foul line during the game to raise his season percentage to 91.7-third best in the GLIAC.

H SQUARED
Michigan Tech's two leading scorers are junior Mike Hojnacki and sophomore Ali Haidar. Both players rank among the GLIAC leaders in scoring, rebounding and field goal percentage. The 6-7 forwards combine to average 32.5 points per game (16.6 from Hojnacki and 15.9 from Haidar)-44 percent of the team's scoring average.

SHARP SHOOTERS
Tech continues to lead the GLIAC in field goal percentage at 49.2. The Huskies are also the top 3-point shooting team in the league at 42.6 percent. Compared to 275 Division II men's basketball teams, Tech is 20th in overall field goal percentage and second in long range accuracy.

HUSKY BITES
Tech's overtime game vs. Hillsdale was its first extra-session contest since Jan. 10, 2008, at Northwood (a 74-64 Huskies win) ... The Huskies will play five of their final seven regular season games on the road ... No. 4-ranked Findlay will be Tech's second straight ranked opponent and third in the last four games. The Huskies win over No. 17 Hillsdale was its first win over a ranked team since 2004 against Findlay ... Tech is 10-0 when reaching the 70-point plateau and 1-8 when failing to score 70 points.

SERIES HISTORY
Michigan Tech trails the all-time series with both Wayne State and Findlay. The Warriors own a 49-25 advantage. The Oilers hold a 13-7 lead. Both teams swept the series over the Huskies a year ago. See page five for complete series history.

HEAD COACH KEVIN LUKE
Kevin Luke is in his 17th year on the Michigan Tech bench as head coach. The school's winningest skipper owns a career record of 294-186 (.613 winning percentage). He is a four-time GLIAC Coach of the Year and was the 2002-03 NABC National Coach of the Year.
