HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Michigan Tech volleyball team lost its
final match of the season, a 3-1 decision, to Findlay Sunday (Nov.
6).
Findlay found its offensive stride at the start of the match
recording a match-high 16 kills to win the first set 25-17. The
Oilers also won the second 25-21, before the Huskies won a close
third set 25-23. Findlay hit a match-high .324 in the fourth set to
win 25-21.
Shelby Jones led the Huskies with 14 kills, and
Skylar Paffenroth added 36 assists.
Kenzie Tonn, who was playing in her final match
for the Huskies tallied a match-high 15 digs. Abby DeWitt also recorded a match-high 15 digs.
Alex Schwalbe finished with 10 kills in the
final match of her career.
In addition to Schwalbe and Tonn, three other players concluded
their careers with the Huskies, Kathleen Storm, Kristie Sexton and Jenna Karkos.
