ALLENDALE, Mich. - Grand Valley State defeated Michigan Tech 3-0 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball action Friday (Oct. 21).

The Huskies pushed the Lakers to extra points in the first set before Grand Valley prevailed 26-24. GVSU also won sets two (25-15) and three (25-17).

Grand Valley finished with a .398 attack percentage to Tech's .189 in the match.

Abby Ebels led the Lakers with 13 kills on 13 attempts.

Freshman Andria Nyenhuis finished with a team-high eight kills for the Huskies and hit .467 in the match.

Freshman Shelby Jones and sophomore Abby DeWitt each recorded a match-high 10 digs. Freshman Ciara Sebelius finished with 27 assists.

Tech will play at Ferris State Saturday (Oct. 22).
