Despite turning the ball over 12 times in the first half, the hosts were able to slowly build a nine-point lead by the break. FSU's Tiara Adams had 12 first-half points to keep her team in the game. The score was 32-23 at the intermission.

The Huskies were able to go to their bench and maintain the 20-point edge through the final horn.
"I thought we were good defensively, but we didn't do a good job of taking care of the basketball in the first half," said head coach Kim Cameron. "We did a better job in the second half."
Dernovsek registered 16 points and game highs of 11 rebounds and four blocks. Giesler went 5-of-6 from the field and tallied 14 points. Angela Guisfredi had 10 points and a team-high four assists.

Ferris (5-4, 2-3 GLIAC) did not made a 3-pointer on four attempts on the day.
"Overall, I'm happy we only gave up 43 points," said Cameron. "We have to shoot for that type of performance again tomorrow."
