HOJNACKI PRESEASON ALL-GLIAC FIRST

Junior Mike
Hojnacki was selected to the preseason All-GLIAC First Team.
The 6-7 junior is the team's top returning scorer (12.7 points per
game) and rebounder (6.1 per game) from a year ago. He earned team
most valuable player honors and was All-GLIAC North Division Second
Team in 2009-10.
HAIDAR TOP GLIAC FRESHMAN SCORER IN

Forward Ali
Haidar returns for his sophomore season with a year of
experience under his belt. The 6-7 Haidar was the highest-scoring
freshman in the GLIAC a year ago at 9.9 points per game. He also
pulled down 5.8 rebounds per contest.
GLIAC PRESEASON POLL
Michigan Tech has been picked to finish fifth in the
GLIAC's North Division after finishing tied for fifth a year ago.
All five starters return from last year's squad, which finished
9-18 overall, and 8-14 in the GLIAC.

LOTSA GAMES TO START
Michigan Tech plays six games in 13 days to open the
2010-11 season with home games vs. Bemidji State and Finlandia and
four road games. The Huskies will play six of their seven
non-conference games during the stretch, which will take them to
Missouri, Minnesota and Wisconsin for games.
SERIES HISTORY VS. BEMIDJI
Michigan Tech and Bemidji State have previously met
52 times with the Beavers holding a 36-16 advantage in those games.
The Huskies have won five in a row over BSU including an 80-70
decision in the most recent matchup-a Dec. 14, 2002, game in
Bemidji.
HEAD COACH KEVIN LUKE
Kevin
Luke is in his 17th year on the Michigan Tech bench as head
coach. The school's winningest skipper owns a career record of
283-178 (.614 winning percentage). He is a four-time GLIAC Coach of
the Year and was the 2002-03 NABC National Coach of the Year.
