ALLENDALE, Mich. - Michigan Tech closed out the regular season
with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-17) volleyball loss at Grand Valley
State Saturday (Nov. 7). The Lakers (16-11, 11-5) finished with a
.354 hitting percentage to .096 by the Huskies (14-13, 10-6). GVSU
also dominated on the defensive side of the ball finishing with a
51-44 advantage in digs and a 10-1 advantage in blocks.
Freshman Madeline Haben led the Huskies with 18 assists in the
Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match.
Senior Veronica Armstrong finished with 10 digs and seven kills for
the Huskies.
Whitney Tremain tallied 14 kills and Rebeccah Rapin added 12 kills
to lead the Lakers.
Michigan Tech will return to action Wednesday (Nov. 11) when it
plays at Saginaw Valley State (19-8, 12-4) in the first round of
the GLIAC Tournament.
