VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT #4 MINNESOTA DULUTH, 3-0

DULUTH, Minn. - Fourth-ranked Minnesota Duluth defended its home court today with a 3-0 victory over Michigan Tech. The match was the first of three in as many days for the Huskies at the UMD Classic.

Game scores were 30-8, 30-16, and 30-14, due in large part to the host Bulldogs hitting .421 as a team.

"They're an elite eight team and obviously a tough opponent," said Huskies' head coach Krista Mikesch. "We weren't very disciplined tonight, and we'll work to correct some things before we have to face another strong team tomorrow."

Michigan Tech (2-3) will take on Minnesota State Mankato at 4 p.m. tomorrow (Sept. 7).
