UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Veronica Armstrong and Christa Jung
each finished with a double-double for Michigan Tech in a 3-1 road
loss (24-30, 20-30, 30-26, 31-33) to Saginaw Valley Sate
Sunday.
Armstrong finished with a match-high 23 kills and 18 digs. Jung
added 11 kills, 12 digs and four block assists for the Huskies.
Kelsey Skoog added 41 assists.
Michigan Tech (7-16, 5-11) finished the match with a 64-59
advantage in kills, while Saginaw Valley (20-9, 9-7) enjoyed a 12-5
advantage in service aces.
"We have to win our final two matches and we also need some help
from some other teams," said head coach Krista Mikesch on the teams
hopes for the GLIAC tournament.
The Huskies will square off against arch rival Northern Michigan at
home on Halloween at 7 p.m.
