SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. - The Michigan Tech volleyball team
snapped its six match losing streak by defeating Lake Superior
State, 3-0 (30-26, 30-18, 31-29), Thursday.
With the win, the Huskies improve to 7-14 overall and 5-9 in the
GLIAC, while the Lakers fall to 7-19 overall and 2-12 in the
GLIAC.
The Black and Gold led nearly every statistical category, including
out-hitting the Lakers two out of three games. Michigan Tech also
dominated play at the net as it recorded 10 blocks to five by Lake
Superior State. The Huskies also held an 8-3 advantage in service
aces.
Senior Kali Jeter led the Huskies with a team high 10 kills and
nine digs.
Sophomore Alison Greene recorded 18 assists while junior Kelsey
Skoog chipped in 17.
Sara Hess led the Lakers with 12 kills and Brishia Stroven added
11.
Michigan Tech will face Northwood in Midland, Mich., Friday, Oct.
26, at 7 p.m.
