Zack Brent begins his first season as a graduate assistant. Hecoaches the defensive backs.

A Fort Collins, Colo., native, Brent was a four-year starter atwide receiver at Denison University (Ohio), where he graduated in2007 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Brent took the spring of 2006 to study abroad, where he was thePlayer Development Intern for NFL Europe. He was also an assistantcoach for the London Warriors, the London Youth National Team. Inthe spring of 2007, he served Denison as wide receivers coach andweight room intern. He also worked for the Columbus Destroyers ofthe Arena Football League as a defensive assistant in 2007.

Brent spent the 2007 and 2008 fall seasons as a recruitingassistant at the University of Colorado. CU’s 2007 recruitingclass was rated as one of the top 15 in the nation.

The 24-year-old Brent gained experience last spring as adefensive backs coach and player for Innsbruck, Austria’sSwarco Raiders, helping them to the 2008 European Championship.
