Biography

Chuck Klingbeil will work full-time with Michigan Tech'sdefensive ends and help with the team's strength and conditioningprogram for the second straight year in 2012. The former NFLdefensive tackle returned to the Huskies' coaching staff in 2010 towork with the defensive secondary.
Klingbeil served his first stint as an assistant footballcoach at Michigan Tech from 1999-2002.
Klingbeil turned in a distinguished playing career thatstarted at Northern Michigan, where he helped the Wildcats to anNCAA playoff quarterfinal berth in 1987. The defensive tackle wenton to star with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CanadianFootball League. He was named defensive MVP of the 1989 Grey Cupgame.
The Houghton, Mich., native then played five years for theNFL’s Miami Dolphins, where he started all 16 games each yearfrom 1992-96, leading the team in tackles in 1995 and 1996.
Klingbeil earned a bachelor’s degree in physicaleducation from Northern Michigan in 1998.
