One of the most avid supporters of the Michigan Tech athletic
program in its long and storied history, Webster "Swede" Intermill
witnessed athletic events in parts of six decades.
His support for the Huskies dates back to 1946 when he arrived
in the area and continued on until his passing on Feb. 15,
1994.
Intermill was honored with the Ken Hamar Award as the Huskies
Booster of the Year in 1989-90 and received an Honorary letter and
blanket from the athletic department in 1981.
He is widely credited with helping start The Huskies Club, which
today raises more than $80,000 per year to provide scholarships to
Michigan Tech student-athletes.
