Walt Potoroka

A star from the early 1940s, Walt Potoroka participated in
football (1939-42), basketball (1939-42), and track and field
(1940-42) for the Michigan Tech Huskies.
In football, where he played quarterback and linebacker,
Potoroka earned four letters and served as team captain his senior
campaign.
He was also a four year letterwinner in basketball at guard and
a three year letterwinner in track and field where he participated
in the 100 and 200-yard dashes.
Potoroka, a current member of the Football Advisory Council at
MTU, was also involved in Student Council, Varsity Club, Tau Nu
Tau, Alpha Sigma Mu, Kappa Delta Psi, ROTC, and Tau Beta Pi while
attending Michigan Tech
