October 18th, 2003
A four-year letter-winner, Ted Olson starred at wing for the
Michigan Tech hockey team from 1946-50.
While he is one of just 57 players ever to reach the 100-point
plateau in his career, perhaps the most remarkave thing about Olson
was his productivity. He today is currently second all-time at MTU
in points per game with 1.75. He finished his stellar career with
62 goals and 62 assists in 71 games played.
In addition, Olson still holds the MTU record for most points in
a period with six, a mark he set back on February 3, 1950.
In addition to his exploits on the hockey rink, Olson also won
two letters in track and field while at Michigan Tech.
He currently resides in St. Paul, Minn.
