Rhonda Pruitt

Rhonda Pruitt (married name Lockhart) played volleyball from
1988-91 and was a member of Michigan Tech’s 2000 Silver
Jubilee Team as one of the top 25 female student-athletes of the
first 25 years of women’s sports at Tech.
She was named all-region, All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference and team most valuable player following her
senior season in 1991. Pruitt earned the team’s digger award
three times and finished her career with 956 digs—the most in
school history at that time. She also held the record for kills in
a match (29) for a number of years.
Pruitt helped Tech to a then-school-best third-place finish in
the GLIAC in both 1989 and 1990. She graduated in 1992 with a
business administration degree.
Pruitt currently resides in Romulus, Mich.
