Paul Sharkey

Paul Sharkey was a three-sport athlete at Michigan Tech,
however, he excelled on the football field.
His playing days covered 1968-71 and he still holds MTU records
for punt returns in a game, season, and career; and punt return
average in a season and career. As a defensive back, he was a
National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-American
honorable mention selection as a senior and gained All-Northern
Intercollegiate Conference recognition in both 1969 and 1971.
Sharkey, besides being a four-year letterwinner in football,
also lettered four years in track, played basketball one season,
and served as Varsity Club president his senior year.
Since graduating, he has regularly been a contributor to the
University, including the Huskies Club.
