In Mike Trewhella's era, there was no one that made a greater
impact on the men's basketball proram than he did.
A four-year letterwinner (1974-78), Trewhella racked up 1,059
points and is still fifth in career field goals made with 435 and
fourth in career assists with 217.
His rookie season (1974-75) he was named the team's most
valuable freshman and the follwonig season he gained second-team
All-Northern Intercollegiate Conference honors.
As captain his senior season Trewhella again was recognized by
the NIC as a second-team all-conference performer.
His academic history was also impressive as was evidenced by his
earning one of just 15 NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarships given
nationally in 1978.
