Michael A. Susko

Mike Susko, one of Michigan Tech's most dominant men's
basketball players of all time, led the Huskies to their first and
only Northern Intercollegiate Conference title in 1979-80.
A four-year letterwinner (1976-80), Susko tallied 807 points in
99 career games and today ranks fifth all-time in career rebounds
with 728. During his tenure, MTU accumulated a 62-39 record,
marking the most successful four-year period in school history.
His freshman campaign, Susko gained the Bob Olson Outstanding
Newcomer Award and also earned the Paul Koski Scholastic
Achievement Award.
He gained All-NIC Second Team laurels as a senior in helping the
Huskies to a 22-5 mark and the league crown. He also earned the
Raymond L. Smith Award as MTU's Outstanding Senior Male
Athlete.
Co-captain of the team his final two campaigns, Susko today
holds the single-game school record for blocked shots with 10 and
also shares the single-season blocked shots record with 47.
