Howard Zollinger

One of the legendary supporters of the Michigan Tech athletic
program, Howard Zollinger’s involvement with the Huskies
dates back more than 55 years. During his time as a student at MTU
(1948-51), Zollinger earned letters as both the varsity men’s
basketball manager and varsity football manager. He served on the
MTU Athletic Council as a student from 1948-51 and re-joined that
body in 1998.
Zollinger has been a member of The Huskies Club since 1980 and
began serving on the Huskies Club Board of Directors in 1998. He
has earned two other prestigious athletic awards from MTU -- the
Honorary M Award in 2001 and the Honorary Blanket Award in 2003.
Howard and his wife Wilma were also presented with the Ken Hamar
Award in 2002 as the year’s top supporters of the MTU
athletic program.
He resides in Portage Township, Michigan.
