Randy McKay played hockey for the Huskies from 1984-88 as a right wing.

He competed in 145 career games and accumulated 101 points, including 38 goals and 63 assists.

McKay earned the Elov Seger Memorial Award as the team's most improved player as a freshman and his senior season gained Winter Carnival Co-MVP honors.

He then went on to play professional hockey and in 1995 helped the New Jersey Devils to the Stanley Cup title.

McKay retired from the National Hockey League after the 2002-03 season after a successful career playing for the Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, Dallas Stars, and Montreal Canadiens.
