Dave Paris

Dave Paris was a three-year letterman for the football team from
1966-68. The offensive lineman was a walk-on to the team in 1965
and went on to earn All-Northern Intercollegiate Conference honors
as a junior. He was also named most valuable player and most
improved player during his career.
After graduation, Paris stayed at MTU as a graduate assistant
football coach until he gained a master’s in civil
engineering in 1970. Paris is a long-time member of the
Huskies’ Club and a member of MTU’s Founders Society
and President’s Club. He and his wife Sharron received the
Ken Hamar Award as true supporters of Tech athletics in 1989-90.
They have attended a majority of Tech’s home football,
basketball and hockey games as season ticket holders since 1979 and
for a number of years went to nearly every football game -- home or
away.
Paris, who worked in MTU’s Administrative Computing
Services Department for 15 years, recently retired from Peckham
Engineering.
