HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech men's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference matches in Illinois over the weekend. The Huskies fell 6-1 at Illinois Springfield on Saturday and were defeated 7-0 at Quincy on Sunday.
Landon Coates went undefeated against the Prairie Stars, earning Tech its lone point with a 6-3, 6-1 win in No. 2 singles. He also teamed up with
Laurent Teysseire for a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.
Dorian Pettengill pushed his singles match to three sets.
Against the Hawks on Sunday,
Ian Pinnoo and
Dorian Pettengill won 6-3 in their No. 3 doubles match.
Laurent Teysseire and
Ian Pinnoo both won their first sets in the singles.
The Huskies are off until a Spring Break trip to Orlando, where six matches are scheduled.
