HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams announce their 2025-26 schedule. The Huskies will host the MTU CCSA Invitational at the Tech Trails on Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
"Half of the team is new and as the opportunity to make a competitive impact immediately," Coach
Tom Monahan Smith said. "We return three Huskies in
Greta Hansen,
Bridget Burns, and
Wes Campbell with NCAA experience who will look to lead the team this season.
"The entire team has been training extremely well together through the first few weeks of fall training with different student-athletes leading every one of the team in workouts. That's incredibly exciting for all of us as we know everyone is going to make a competitive impact for us this season; we just have to focus on continuing to really work together in every practice to have everyone continue leading the team forward into the competition season."
The season kicks off on Dec. 6 with an exhibition race at the U.P. Opener against Northern Michigan at the Forestville Trails in Marquette.
The regular season begins the next weekend (Dec. 13-14) with the Duluth SuperCXC Cup. Tech travels back to Duluth for the NCAA Central Regional Skiing Championships on Feb. 27-28.
