HOUGHTON, Mich. – Four Huskies from the Michigan Tech volleyball team were honored when the GLIAC announced its all-conference teams on Friday.
Madelynn Kreider,
Paige Wagner, and
Rachel Zurek were named to the All-GLIAC Second Team, while
Tricia Kennedy was an Honorable Mention selection.
Setter
Madelynn Kreider appeared in 24 matches and 76 sets in her first season with the Huskies. She led the Huskies with 664 assists, averaging 8.74 per set and ranking seventh in the GLIAC. Kreider added 193 digs, which ranked third on the team. She had over 40 assists six times, including a season-high 69 against Davenport (Nov. 7). Kreider had 11 double-doubles and twice had 15 digs.
Middle hitter
Paige Wagner was named to the All-GLIAC Second Team for the second straight season. She played in all 103 sets in the 28 matches. She was second on the team with 198 kills and hit .289, which ranked ninth in the GLIAC. Wagner added 93 blocks, 68 digs, and 26 aces. She ranked 10th in the GLIAC in blocks per set (0.9). Wagner had double-digit kills six times with a season-best 13 against Davenport (Nov. 7) and Saginaw Valley State (Nov. 14). She had eight blocks against Grand Valley State (Oct. 25) and 10 digs for a double-double against the Panthers.
Outside hitter
Rachel Zurek earned all-conference honors for the third season after being an Honorable Mention selection as a freshman and an All-GLIAC Second Team pick as a sophomore. In 2025, she appeared in 98 sets in all 28 matches. She led the Huskies with 322 kills, averaging 3.29 per set to rank fifth in the GLIAC. Zurek had double-digit kills 18 times, including the last 10 matches of the season. She had a season-high 20 kills in back-to-back matches against Davenport (Nov. 7) and Ferris State (Nov. 8). Zurek hit .217 for the season and added 56 digs and 46 blocks.
Middle blocker
Tricia Kennedy also appeared in every set of the season and led the Huskies with a 2.94 hitting percentage and 98 blocks. She ranked eighth in the GLIAC in hitting percentage and ninth in blocks per set (0.95). Kennedy had double-figure kills four times with a season-best 13 against Davenport (Nov. 7). She had at least five blocks seven times with a high of nine at Northern Michigan (Oct. 28) and the Panthers. Kennedy tallied 170 kills, 18 digs, and seven assists.
