About the Huskies
Michigan Tech returns to Kearly Stadium following a 56-17 pummeling of Northern Michigan at the Superior Dome on Saturday to win the 15th-straight Miner's Cup. The Huskies hold an overall ledger of 6-2 while playing to a 3-1 GLIAC standing.

Freshman quarterback Elliott Larner impressed a crowd of 4,500 at the Superior Dome, rushing for a season-high four rushing scores with his 171 yards on the ground on 13 carries, also a season-high for the team. The Lansing, Michigan, native completed half of his passes for 92 yards and a touchdown pass in the win.

The Huskies are putting up 32.5 points while allowing just over 20 points per game with a total offense of 364.4 and a total defense of 280.8, which ranks second in the league and 14th in the country.

Receivers Nic Nora and Ethan Champney rank second and third in the GLIAC with 481 and 379 receiving yards, respectively, while Nora ranks second in the league in receptions per game (4.38) and receiving TDs (5). One Last Thing
In back-to-back years against Northern Michigan, the Huskies were able to reach the end zone on punt returns with Jaxon Lippert ripping off a 78-yard punt return touchdown last season before Nora's 60-yard punt return score at the Superior Dome last weekend. Michigan Tech has also had its last two fumble recoveries for touchdowns coming at the Superior Dome, with Hunter Buechel scoring on a fumble recovery (22 yards) in 2023, as Brady Isaacson took a fumble recovery 59 yards to the house in 2025.
