Rocket League

Tech's Rocket League and Smash teams are showing no signs of slowing down, delivering another thrilling week of sweeps as they continue to assert their dominance early in the season. Both teams showcased their skill and passion, not dropping a single match to their opponents, solidifying their status as teams to watch.

On the Rocket League side, standout performances came from Lucas "Grape" Foster, who had an explosive start, displaying some of his best game play of the season. Grape's aggressive style and pinpoint accuracy were on full display, leaving the opposition scrambling to keep up.

Meanwhile, team captain Isaac "Stewy" Stillwel continued to prove why he's the heart and soul of this Rocket League squad. His leadership shined through once again, highlighted by a series of exhilarating defensive plays that kept Tech's momentum rolling and their opponents at bay.

Smash

Tech's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) team continued its winning season this week, delivering another standout performance that left rivals in the dust. Leading the charge was Luke Krcmarik, known in the Smash community as "Phrogge," who put on a clinic with his signature "Diddy Kong" play. Phrogge tore through his opponents with relentless aggression and flawless execution, proving once again why he's one of the most feared competitors in the league.

"Phrogge was absolutely on fire," said Coach Travis Isbell. "His performance last week is worth the watch! The entire SSBU team is looking strong, and we can't wait to see how the rest of the season will turn out."

As the season progresses, Tech's SSBU team looks increasingly unstoppable, and through our focus on the holistic student-athlete experience, we're well-positioned to continue making waves throughout Playfly.  

Valorant

The Tech Esports Valorant team had an unexpected twist in its season this week, as the scheduled opponents failed to show up for the match. While the team was geared up and ready to compete, they were awarded the win by default and will now shift their focus to next week's matchup.

Though the outcome wasn't how they envisioned it, the unexpected bye gives Tech's Valorant squad extra time to fine-tune their strategies and prepare for their next challenge. The team has been putting in the work, and this added preparation could prove invaluable as the season progresses.

With their sights set on their next opponent, Cumberland University, the Valorant team is eager to prove themselves when they finally get back on the server. Expect a hungry and motivated Tech squad when they take the stage next week.

Overwatch

Tech's Overwatch team made a powerful statement this week, delivering a commanding 3-0 sweep against their opponents in a series that was all Tech from start to finish. From the first map to the last, Tech's players were in complete control, not even allowing their rivals to take a single point.

Last week's match was a masterclass in coordination, communication, and execution as Tech's Overwatch squad overwhelmed their opponents at every turn. The team's synergy was on full display, with each player stepping up to deliver clutch plays and seamless teamwork.

Isaac "Isaac" McKinney delivered an outstanding performance, showcasing some of the best Mei walls seen this season. McKinney's impeccable timing and strategic placement of walls played a crucial role in Tech's dominant sweep, shutting down key pushes and creating pivotal opportunities for his team.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty team at Tech Esports faced another loss this week against Newberry College. Their opponents were ready and well-organized, delivering a stellar performance that Tech struggled to match.

Tech's Call of Duty team is experiencing a season of growth with their fresh roster, as they work through the challenges and growing pains that come with building a competitive squad from the ground up.
