HOUGHTON, Mich. – Head cross country/track & field coach Robert Young announced the 2024 competition schedule.
The season opens on Sep. 6 at the Phoenix Open hosted by Green Bay. The Huskies' first true test of the fall campaign comes on Sep. 20 at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Â
Following a week off, the Black & Gold travel to Romeoville, Illinois, for the Lewis Crossover on Oct. 12–the race will also count as a regional preview as Lewis will also play host to the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on Nov. 9.
The final regular season meet of the season takes place on Oct. 18 in Gladstone, Michigan, at the Bay College Invite.
Postseason begins for the Huskies in Big Rapids, Michigan, at the GLIAC Cross Country Championships on Oct. 26 hosted by Ferris State. Following the conference championships, the Black & Gold return to Romeoville, Illinois, for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championship and an opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships on Nov. 23 in Sacramento, California, hosted by the CCAA and the Sacramento Sports Commission.Â
