HOUGHTON, Mich. – Highlighted by 12 games inside the SDC Gymnasium, head coach Josh Buettner is pleased to announce the 2024-25 schedule. The 28-game slate starts in November and runs through the beginning of March before the start of postseason play.

Nonconference

For the second-straight year, the Huskies will open the season in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin for the JustAGame Crossover, facing GLVC affiliates Missouri-St. Louis (Nov. 8) and Maryville (Nov. 9). Tech then sees familiar foes with five-straight matchups with NSIC members,  traveling to Winona State (Nov. 16) and Concordia-St. Paul (Nov. 17). The following week MTU will be housed in Duluth, Minnesota, facing Minnesota Duluth (Nov. 22) and MSU Moorhead (Nov. 23)–who both competed in the NCAA Tournament a season ago after spending most of the season among the top-25 in national polls. The Huskies close out the Northern Sun slate welcoming St. Cloud State to the SDC Gymnasium on Nov. 27 for the Black & Gold's home opener.

Tech will round out the nonconference portion of the schedule, welcoming Northland to the SDC Gymnasium on Dec. 14 before taking a trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin, for an exhibition tilt against Green Bay and first-year head coach and Fox Sports Broadcaster, Doug Gottlieb on Dec. 18–Of note, the contest will only be an exhibition game for the Huskies.

GLIAC Play

The conference ledger features 20 contests with the addition of Roosevelt in its first year at the Division II level competing in the GLIAC. The Huskies open league play at home facing Parkside on Dec. 5 and Purdue Northwest Dec. 7. 

After the Holiday Break, MTU starts a three-game road trip at Grand Valley (Jan. 2), Davenport (Jan 4) and Northern Michigan (Jan. 9). The Huskies then have a three-game homestand welcoming Roosevelt (Jan. 11), Saginaw Valley State (Jan. 16) and Wayne State (Jan. 18). 

The Huskies play on the road two of the next three weekends with a stout weekend against two NCAA Tournament teams in Lake Superior State (Jan. 23) and Ferris State (Jan. 25).

MTU hosts Davenport (Jan .30) and Grand Valley State (Feb. 1) before traveling to Wayne State (Feb. 6) and Saginaw Valley State (Feb. 8) for the second time in the regular season.

The Black & Gold close out the regular season home slate with three straight home games starting on Feb. 13 vs. Ferris State and Feb. 15 welcoming Lake Superior State before hosting Northern Michigan on Feb. 20.

Michigan Tech wraps the regular season on a three-game road trip at Roosevelt (Feb. 22), Purdue Northwest (Feb. 27) and Parkside (Mar. 1).

The Huskies finished the 2023-24 campaign with an overall ledger of 11-17 and 8-10 in the loop and returns All-Conference players Marcus Tomashek (First Team All-GLIAC) and Josh Terrian (GLIAC All-Defensive Team) back for their junior season's.
