SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
• Northern Michigan is 13-7 overall and 7-3 in the GLIAC. The Wildcats are 2-3 in road matches and have dropped three straight.
• Jacqueline Smith is second in the GLIAC in kills per set (3.92), and Allie Barlow is second in the conference in assists per set (10.08).
• NMU was picked fifth in the GLIAC Preseason Poll after going 12-18 overall and 9-9 in the conference last season.

SCOUTING THE RANGERS
• Parkside is 9-12 overall and 5-5 in the GLIAC. The Rangers lead the GLIAC in team digs and aces.
• Natalie Harris leads the GLIAC in digs per set (4.93), Marisa Lootens leads the GLIAC in aces per set (0.55), and Sam Fisch is seventh in kills per set (3.6).
• The Rangers were 19-12 overall and 12-6 in the GLIAC last season and were picked fourth in the GLIAC Preseason Poll just behind the Huskies. Coach Leigh Barea was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2023.

SCOUTING THE PRIDE
• Purdue Northwest is 8-12 overall and 4-6 in the GLIAC.
• Arra Cottrell leads the offense with 3.57 kills per set, Livia Thomsen (4.24 d/s) anchors the defense, and Olivia Brooke (5.49 a/s) and Marina Gronkiewicz (4.12) set the attack.
• PNW went 13-17 overall and 8-10 in the GLIAC last season. The Pride were picked eighth in the GLIAC Preseason Poll ahead of Lake Superior State, Saginaw Valley State, and Roosevelt.

FIRST MEETING
• NMU –Tech fell 3-1 on the road at Northern Michigan on Oct. 10. The Huskies won the first 25-22 before falling 25-23, 25-17, and 25-15.
Rachel Zurek tied her career-high with 16 kills while hitting .364.
Meg Raabe was also in double figures offensively with 10 kills.
• UWP – The Huskies fell 3-2 at Parkside on Sept. 21. Tech won the second and fourth sets, but the Rangers closed out the victory 15-12 in the fifth.

• PNW – Tech opened GLIAC play with a 3-1 victory at Purdue Northwest on Sept. 20. The Huskies improved 9-0 all-time against the Pride after winning 25-18, 25-16, 21-25, and 25-23.
Meg Raabe led a balanced offensive attack that saw five players with more than five kills. Raabe tallied 13 kills and added 12 digs and four assists.

Tess Hayes was named to the Midwest Regional Crossover All-Tournament Team. • Hayes averaged 10.8 assists and 2.7 digs per set.
• She tallied 24 assists and seven digs in a loss to No. 19 Quincy, 39 assists and eight digs in a sweep of Tiffin, and 45 assists and 12 digs in a victory over Findlay.
• Hayes leads the GLIAC in assists per set (10.49) and service aces per set (0.51).

COACH JENNINGS
• Head coachÂ
Matt Jennings is in his 13th season with the Huskies and has won 217 matches overall. He ranks second in wins in program history.
• Jennings is the chair of NCAA Volleyball Championships Committee. It's the sixth year working on NCAA postseason matters.
• Under Jennings, the Huskies have gone from last place in the conference to nationally ranked and consistently in the NCAA Tournament.
• Jennings coached the Huskies to four straight NCAA tournament appearances from 2017-21.
• He was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2017 and led the team to a program record of 10 straight wins to start the 2016 season.
• The 2021 spring team won a GLIAC Regular Season title for the second time in program history with the 2021 team repeating the feat in outright fashion.
LAST SEASON
• Tech finished the 2023 season 15-16 overall record with a 10-8 mark in the GLIAC.
• The Huskies advanced the GLIAC Tournament Semifinal for the seventh straight season as the fourth seed.
