HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State volleyball team

Michigan Tech 3-0 in the first round of the GLIAC Tournament
Wednesday (Nov. 12).
SVSU enjoyed several small runs through out the first set on way to
a 25-13 win. The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead in set two
to claim a 25-18 victory. The Huskies challenged the Cardinals in
the third set but Saginaw took the set 25-23 and the match.
"We were out played in every area tonight," said head coach Krista
Mikesch. "They came in tonight wanting to win and we were
tentative. This time of year we need our veterans to step up and
they didn't."

Huskies (19-10). Saginaw also finished with 44 kills and 41 assists
