Biography

Senior Season (2012-13): Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America...GLIAC Commissioner Award Winner...USTFCCCA All-Academic...All-GLIAC Academic Excellence ... Earned All-GLIAC honors with a third place finish in the decathlon with a school record 6,424...Opened the season by winning the decathlon at the Shamrock Invitational...Followed up by winning the 400 at the Rex Foster Invitational and UW-Oshkosh Open...Won the 400 at the Beloit Relays in a season best time of 48.76.

Junior Season (2011-12): Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-America...GLIAC Commissioner Award Winner...Conference champion in the decathlon with a school record score of 5,999 points...Won the 400-hurdles at the St. Norbert Twilight in a school record time of 54.78...Won the decathlon at the Al Owens Invitational.

Sophomore Season (2010-11): Competed in four meets...Broke the school record in the decathlon with 5,752 points at GLIAC Championships where he finished fourth overall...As a part of the record breaking decathlon he posted personal bests in the 100 (11.84), 400 (48.95), 110 Hurdles (16.96), 1,500 (4:24.00), high jump (5-7.25), pole vault (10-6), long jump (18-9.75), and discus (89-2)...Also recorded a  shot put (33-4.5) personal best at the Hamline Invitational and a javelin personal best (127-5) at Minn.-Duluth...Named Men's Track and Field 2011 Most Improved Athlete...Named to the 2011 GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team...2011 Decathlon All-GLIAC Honorable Mention

Freshman Season (2009-10): Competed in five meets...Posted four top-five finishes...Ran a 400 personal best (49.66) at Twilight.

High School: Graduated from Romeo (Mich.) High School in 2009 … Coached by Dale Teller … Garnered Macomb Area Conference defensive most valuable player, team most valuable player and All-MAC Red First Team accolades as a senior … Named fifth team all-county in 2008, helping his team to the MAC Championship and a district title … Averaged 9.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in 2008 … Named Most Improved Player on team in 2007, helping his team to MAC Championship and the District Championship … Also participated in soccer and track as a prep.
