Freshman Season (2008-09): Competed in nine races, including the NCAA Championships where he finished 29th in the 10-kilometer classic and 36th in the 20-kilometer freestyle ... Finished eighth in the 10-kilometer classic and eighth in the 15-kilometer freestyle at the NCAA Regionals to earn all-region honors in both events ... Was a second-team All-CCSA selection ... Finished as the CCSA’s top finisher at the Mt. Itasca Central Super Tour with his 10th place finish in the 10-kilometer classic race ... Finished fourth in the “B” final of the men’s senior classic sprints at the US National Championships  and finished 94th in the 10-kilometer freestyle in Anchorage, Alaska ... Named team’s rookie of the year ... Named to the 2009 National Ski Coaches Association All-Academic Team.

Prior to Michigan Tech: A 2007 graduate of Norges Toppidrettsgymnas (The Norwegian Academy of Elite Sports) ... Finished in the top 25 at the Norwegian Junior National Championships.
