High School: VanHaerents is a 2026 graduate of Royal Oak High School. She holds personal-bests of 5:44 in the 1,600m, 12:07 in the 3,200m and 19:32 in the 5,000m. 
Personal: Lucy is the daughter of Stephanie and Michael. She plans to earn a degree in mechanical engineering while at Michigan Tech.
