High School: Pestrue is a 2025 graduate of St. Louis High School where he was the class Valedictorian and an MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award Finalist... Academically he was an Academic All-State recipient three times in cross country and track & field... He was a three-time cross country all-state performer and all-state in track & field in the 3,200m (2024), 1,600m (2024 & 2025) and was the conference champion in the 1,600m (2024 & 2025) and 3,200m (2023)... He holds personal-bests of 15:55 for 5,000m, 9:30 for 3,200m, 4:22 for 1,600m and 2:00 over 800m... 

Personal: Landon is the son of Dennette and Jeffrey. At Michigan Tech, he plans to earn a degree in mechanical engineering..
