HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech Nordic ski teams compete at the 2026 CCSA Championship this weekend (Feb. 14-15) in Minneapolis at Theodore Wirth Park. The Huskies will race in classic on Saturday and skate on Sunday.
The Butch Reimer Cup will be awarded to the CCSA Champions on Sunday, and the Huskies will be looking to defend their title.
On Saturday, the men's 10K mass start classic begins at 9 a.m. Central followed by the women's 10K race at 10 a.m. Central. The conference championship wraps up on Sunday with the women's 10K interval start freestyle at 10 a.m. Central. The men's 10K begins at 11 a.m. Central.
Alongside the CCSA races, the event is a Loppet Junior Qualifier & SuperTour. It is a U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned event where athletes have the opportunity to compete at a high level under professional standards. The Loppet is a non-profit organization that manages programs and events from the park, whose mission is connecting people to the outdoors through experiences that grow community, with over 7K of snowmaking trails and 40K of natural snow.
