    The Michigan Tech women’s tennis team won three of its four matches in South Carolina during spring break over the last week. The Huskies earned wins over Limestone, Chowan and St. Joseph’s and lost to Florida Tech.
  • Women's Tennis Splits Pair in Return to Action

    The Michigan Tech women’s tennis team returned to action with its first matches since last October with two outings in Illinois this weekend. The Huskies lost to host Lewis 6-3 yesterday before coming back with an 8-1 victory over Olivet Nazarene today.

    Michigan Tech’s Kwang Suthijindawong (Bangkok, Thailand) was named 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Tennis Freshman of the Year, and two other Huskies earned All-GLIAC honors it was announced this week.
  • Northwood Beats Tech 6-3 in Women's Tennis

    Northwood remained undefeated in GLIAC play by beating Michigan Tech 6-3 in women’s tennis at Gates Tennis Center today. The Huskies’ three individual match wins was just the second time the 13-0 Timberwolves had surrendered more than two in a day.
  • Women's Tennis Nipped Twice in Saginaw

    Michigan Tech lost a pair of 5-4 decisions on its road trip to Saginaw Valley this weekend. The Huskies were edged by Saginaw Valley State on Friday (Oct. 12) and Lake Superior State on Saturday (Oct. 13).
  • Huskies Fall at Wayne State 7-2 in Women's Tennis

    Michigan Tech dropped its final match of a three-match road trip 7-2 at Wayne State today. The Huskies (7-7 overall, 4-7 GLIAC) were defeated by a Warrior team that is currently second in the GLIAC standings at 10-1 (10-1 overall).
  • Tennis Snaps Skid with 6-3 Win at Findlay

    The Michigan Tech women’s tennis team stopped a six-match losing streak with a 6-3 victory at Findlay today in GLIAC play. The Huskies, who won their first six matches of the season before losing six straight, improved to 7-6 overall and 4-6 in league play with the win.
  • Tech Falls to Hillsdale in Marathon Tennis Match

    Michigan Tech, playing without the services of its undefeated No. 2 singles player Kwang Suthijindawong (injury), fell at Hillsdale 6-3 in GLIAC women’s tennis Friday. The Huskies not only played shorthanded, but battled a two-hour rain delay and change of venue in the match.
  • Grand Valley Tops Tech 6-3 in Women's Tennis

    Michigan Tech succeeded at the top of the lineup but struggled at the bottom in a 6-3 GLIAC women’s tennis loss to Grand Valley State at Gates Tennis Center today. The visiting Lakers improved to 6-1 overall and 6-1 in league play while the Huskies fell to 6-5 overall and 3-5 in GLIAC action.

    The Michigan Tech women’s tennis team was three points from victory against GLIAC foe Ferris State today but the visiting Bulldogs won the final match on the courts and the team match 5-4.

    Michigan Tech fell at Tiffin 5-4 today in GLIAC women’s tennis. The Huskies, for a third time in as many days, were close to the win but couldn’t come up with the fifth point.

    For the second straight day, the Michigan Tech women’s tennis team fell just short on the courts. Today, it was Ashland beating the Huskies 5-4 in GLIAC play.
  • Huskies Suffer First Women's Tennis Loss

    The Michigan Tech women’s tennis team suffered its first setback of the season with a 6-3 loss at Ohio Dominican today. The host Panthers (2-1 overall, 2-1 GLIAC) won the GLIAC match by claiming two of the three doubles points and four of the six singles matches. The Huskies fell to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in league play with the loss.

    Michigan Tech tennis player Natalia Lebedeva (Nakhodka, Russia) has been named the GLIAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for Sept. 4-10.
  • Women's Tennis Moves to 6-0 with Sweep of Malone

    Michigan Tech closed out its three-match women’s tennis homestand with a 9-0 victory over GLIAC newcomer Malone today. The Huskies swept the action in both singles and doubles to improve to a perfect 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in league play.

    The Michigan Tech tennis team remained undefeated on the season with a 9-0 victory over Lake Erie today at Gates Tennis Center. The Huskies surrendered no more than three games in any match in claiming their first GLIAC victory of 2012.

    The Michigan Tech women’s tennis team will return home undefeated after three matches in its opening weekend at Lake Superior State. The Huskies defeated Aquinas and Roberts Wesleyan by 8-1 scores in neutral site matches and topped host LSSU 5-4 in a non-conference match.
